Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born 19th August, 1965 is an American actor. She is best known for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The show ended on August 13, 2012, following the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick got a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick has announced that she's Jewish and participates in Passover meal times.
